The e.bottle from Hrastnik1860 wins Red Dot Award
Premium beverage and perfume brands are looking for smart packaging to communicate to their customers, increase the customer experience and track their products throughout the supply chain and retail. With the smart bottle, you can find out where a certain beverage was made, in which barrel it matured, etc. Interactive functions, such as beverage temperature and volume monitoring through the phone, bottle illumination with an integrated LED light in the colour of your choice or flashing of the bottle based on the music in the room – all these features mean added value for the buyer and are intended for special cases of use and promotions.
The bottle of the future will also represent a piece in the mosaic of sustainable development and development of circular economy, while glass products, in general, will have to become one of the breakthrough factors in the development of circular economy in the future.
e.bottle smart solution also received the German Golden Innovation Award GIA 2021.
Red Dot Design Award is an international design competition that recognizes excellence and Hrastnik1860 is extremely honoured to have been awarded a Red Dot design award 2022.

The Red Dot Award
The Red Dot Award dates back to 1955. It is now one of the largest and best-known design competitions in the world. To appraise the diversity in the field of design in a professional manner, the Red Dot Design Award breaks down into three disciplines Product Design, Brands & Communication Design and Design Concept. All participating products are individually evaluated by an independent and international specialist jury. The international jury only awards the coveted quality seal to distinctive products due to their outstanding design. The award winners are presented in the yearbooks, in museums and online.
