The glass industry is facing major challenges in the areas of decarbonization, energy efficiency, and sustainable transition. Due to the energy-intensive processes involved in glass melting, optimizing energy consumption, implementing advanced technologies, and reducing CO₂ emissions are becoming key factors for competitiveness and sustainable development.

Project Manager Specialist for Energy Management (m/f)
Location: Hrastnik, Slovenia
Employment type: Permanent employment contract with a 6-month probation and onboarding period
Start date: Immediately or by agreement
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Maintaining and continuously improving the energy management system,
- Establishing and ensuring compliance with ISO 50001,
- Monitoring and analyzing energy consumption and being responsible for energy KPIs,
- Identifying, preparing, and implementing measures to improve energy efficiency in cooperation with other departments,
- Actively collaborating with other sectors in optimizing energy use,
- Preparing annual energy consumption plans,
- Ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of solar power plants within the group,
- Monitoring technological trends and implementing advanced energy solutions,
- Leading investment projects in the field of energy efficiency,
- Ensuring project compliance with technical standards, legislation, and internal guidelines,
- Participating in sustainability-related development projects,
- Designing and implementing the company’s decarbonization strategy.
What we expect:
- At least a Level VI/VII degree in a technical field (energy engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related disciplines),
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a comparable field,
- Experience in project or team management,
- Understanding of decarbonization and modern energy solutions,
- Knowledge of legislation, regulations, and quality management systems,
- Active knowledge of English (knowledge of Serbian is considered an advantage),
- Advanced use of MS Office tools,
- Analytical thinking and strategic planning skills,
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities,
- Ability for critical thinking and independent decision-making,
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships.
