Hrastnik1860 is one of the most innovative glass manufacturers in the EU, with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We are currently implementing several international projects financed under the Horizon Europe programme, primarily in the field of the green transition. We are also the first company in Slovenia to implement a project funded by the Innovation Fund.
As part of our efforts to decarbonise the energy-intensive glass industry, we are carrying out industrial demonstrations across several key areas. These include the use of green hydrogen, electrification of glass melting, production and storage of energy from renewable sources, material recycling, carbon capture and utilisation, as well as the implementation of smart management systems and digitalisation of our processes. Hrastnik1860 is part of the international Vaider Group, headquartered in Switzerland, which has ambitious growth and innovation plans within the glass industry.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Managing and coordinating EU-funded and other R&D projects

Preparing applications for EU funding calls

Preparing and presenting projects at professional conferences and events

Developing new project ideas and proposals
-
Preparing expert analyses and contributing to the development of strategies related to the company’s technological development
Our expectations

PhD, Master’s degree, or University degree (2nd or 3rd Bologna cycle) in a natural sciences field

Work experience in managing EU-funded projects (or other R&D projects)

Active proficiency in English

Analytical and creative approach to challenges, with innovative thinking
