We are looking for a technically strong glass development professional with leadership experience, a proactive growth mindset, and the ability to drive innovation through cross-functional collaboration to join our team as Head of R&D.
Your main tasks will include:
- Leading and mentoring the glass and decoration development team, ensuring continuous knowledge transfer, skill development, and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Overseeing and managing glass and development projects, ensuring alignment with technical objectives, timelines, and business opportunities.
- Analysing and resolving technical challenges related to glass articles and mould design, ensuring optimal product performance and manufacturability.
- Reviewing and approving technical drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Participating in product development meetings, working closely with project management, technology, production, and quality teams to drive continuous efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a deep understanding of development technologies and market trends in this area
What we expect from our new employee:
- Expertise in glass development, with a strong technical understanding of materials and processes.
- Preferably experience in declaration development
- A growth mindset, with a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
- At least three years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the glass packaging development industry.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Advanced skills in 3D modelling software such as Siemens NX.
- Experience with forming simulation modelling software
- Strong flexibility, innovation, and systematic thinking in problem-solving.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
