This case study delves into the inspiring story of “Spirit in a Bottle” contest winner, Monkey Brands International, the Frisky Panky spirits makers. Through this partnership their vision for a custom-designed spirit bottle became a striking reality.

As the winner of our contest, Friskey Panky received an unparalleled opportunity: a bespoke bottle design brought to life by Hrastnik1860’s award-winning experts. From initial concept to finished product, our team provided end-to-end support, covering all project costs—including mold equipment and first samples.

When I came across the competition, I saw it as a fantastic opportunity. For any brand, having a bespoke bottle is crucial as it establishes a unique identity. It was a chance I couldn’t pass up!

Packaging is everything in today’s market. A bespoke bottle not only enhances your brand’s identity but also adds a sense of professionalism and uniqueness. Consumers often make purchasing decisions based on the first impression, and a distinctive bottle design plays a key role in capturing their attention.

About the shape

We originally used a standard generic bottle but wanted something that truly reflected our brand’s identity. While the new bottle design evolved from our previous one, it introduced more sophistication, including custom engravings and a unique brand message. From the proposals provided by Hrastnik1860, we found the perfect fit for our vision.

The shape of the bottle represents our brand’s core values: authenticity, sophistication, quality, and professionalism. It elevates the brand by providing the distinctive touch we lacked with the previous generic design.

The story

The bottle tells the story of our brand. We aimed to create a product that could speak for itself, and this design does just that. It conveys our message clearly, offering a premium look and feel that builds consumer trust and confidence.

The final result

I couldn’t be happier! The team at Hrastnik1860 did an outstanding job. Our bespoke bottle turned out exactly as we envisioned, and we’re excited to see it make its mark.

Designer’s perspective

Creating a custom bottle for the Frisky Panky brand was an exciting journey, blending simplicity with elegance. The bottle’s broad design perfectly highlights the label and elevates the brand’s overall aesthetic. We anticipated potential challenges with the embossed lettering, but everything went smoothly, as if it were meant to be. The slope and shape of the bottle’s shoulders beautifully complement the playful hairstyle featured on the label—a subtle, yet impactful detail.

When designing unique bottles, I always start by delving into the brand’s identity and the message it conveys globally. Understanding any core concepts or visual motifs helps me ensure that every design element aligns seamlessly with the brand story. It’s incredibly helpful when the client shares their vision, providing ideas or pointing to existing bottle designs for inspiration.

What made this project particularly enjoyable was the open collaboration. Even when technical limitations arose—like placing text around the bottle—we quickly found creative compromises. Projects with minimal constraints allow me to fully explore my ideas, leading to designs that have the potential to become iconic on shelves worldwide.

Collaborating on Frisky Panky was a perfect blend of creative freedom and teamwork, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
