Criteria for expert jury evaluation
(Submission Details)

 

To impress the expert jury, consider the following criteria:

    1. Compelling brand story and project idea.
    2. Provide your name, company name, contact address, phone number, e-mail address, webpage, and an inspiring project description.
    3. Entrants must represent a fully registered and operational spirits company for a minimum of 12 months, dated back from October 2nd, 2023.

The winner will be selected by a jury comprising HRASTNIK1860 experts from the design studio, marketing, commercial, and product development departments. This ensures that the most exceptional project will be chosen.

The winner will be announced on social media channels and be contacted via the contact details provided by the winning entrant.

Our design studio proposed re-designing the Berryshka glass bottle.

Berryshka’s brand range assumes 6 different liqueurs, 3 gins, and 3 junipers. Spirits belong to the higher price range, liqueurs fall into the lower price range. The main products are gin and juniper. Their gin is awarded Slovenian gin and is famous for the taste of ten herbs.

One bottle was being used for all their types of drinks, therefore design proposals were needed to tackle all different segments. Options were divided into 4 different proposals. The old packaging was replaced with a new, modern and exciting new look.

The Slovenian Environmental Fund and the Finance newspaper presented the awards in the categories of Environmentally Friendly Company and Environmentally Friendly Glass Melting with Hydrogen Combustion.

Steklarna Hrastnik has made significant investments in improving energy efficiency and reducing its environmental impact, including utilising waste heat, replacing fossil fuels with renewable resources, and maximising melting furnaces. Gold award of the national selection of innovations of the Chamber of Commerce (GZS)

Steklarna Hrastnik received the gold award for the best innovation of the year from the Chamber of Commerce Slovenia, for the production of sustainable glass packaging using green hydrogen and recycled glass.

We wanted to demonstrate that with the carbon-neutral bottle product, the transition to carbon neutrality is already possible today.

The sustainable bottle made exclusively from 100 % green hydrogen and 100 % recycled glass represents innovation at the international level.
