Gašper Čarman, the owner of the Gasper Wines brand, imagined producing rosé from the best grapes in higher-lying vineyards of Merlot. After sampling from the barrel in the cellar Klet Brda for the first time, he tasted the difference and immediately decided that this rosé should be offered to customers.

Vinification for the rosé Markiza was done according to a Provencal recipe. The grapes are first cooled with dry ice, which also prevents oxidation, then destemmed and pressed within two hours. The wine ferments for 10 days at a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and after six months of maturation in stainless steel containers goes into bottles.

Provence-style rosés are very clearly defined as pale pink wines that are dry and that consumers received very positively.
