When we think about the cleanest possible technology, customer focus is on the big – 18,5 mio EUR investment in green technology and higher capacities was completed with the new furnace and new production lines in operation. A big decision to even stronger focus on premium markets has stimulated a series of high profile investment projects in the recent period, including commissioning the company’s new oxygen-fired furnace.
Another important investment project is linked to decoration. Last year we began the DECOR pilot demonstration project for smart decoration and functionalisation of glass products. We aim to use only colours that do not contain heavy metals and to introduce organic additives for standard colours in order to make them more sustainable.
