Re-design case study
Our design studio proposed re-designing the Berryshka glass bottle.
Berryshka’s brand range assumes 6 different liqueurs, 3 gins, and 3 junipers. Spirits belong to the higher price range, liqueurs fall into the lower price range. The main products are gin and juniper. Their gin is awarded Slovenian gin and is famous for the taste of ten herbs.
One bottle was being used for all their types of drinks, therefore design proposals were needed to tackle all different segments. Options were divided into 4 different proposals. The old packaging was replaced with a new, modern and exciting new look.

The Red Dot Award dates back to 1955. It is now one of the world’s largest and best-known design competitions. To appraise the diversity in the field of design in a professional manner. All participating products are individually evaluated by an independent and international specialist jury. The international jury only awards the coveted quality seal to distinctive products due to their outstanding design.

Hrastnik1860 ranks among the winners of the Gold distinction, the highest one awarded by the jury for the German Innovation Awards 2021. The company convinced the jury with e.bottle, which was entered in the ‘Food & Beverages’ category in the ‘Excellence in Business to Consumer’ class of the competition. The intelligent bottle features a reusable electronic tag that combines wireless smartphone communication, IoT sensor elements, and RBG LED functions.
The German Innovation Awards jury is made up of top-class experts from a range of disciplines and embodies diverse expertise, including in product design, marketing, computer science, history of technology, physics, patent consulting, and financial services.
